Ingredients
- 8 oz Feta Cheese
- 8 Figs, halved
- 2 tbsp Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Hot Honey
- Cento Panko Bread Crumbs
- Cento Garlic Paste in a Tube
- 1 sprig Fresh Thyme
- Cento Italian Balsamic Glaze, for drizzling
- 1/4 cup Pistachios, roughly chopped
- Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
- Cento Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange feta in the center of a small baking dish, place thyme on top of the feta, and nestle figs around it cut-side up. Drizzle with olive oil and honey, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 15u201320 minutes, until figs are soft and jammy. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium-low heat, add garlic paste, and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add in breadcrumbs, stirring frequently, until golden brown and crisp, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the feta and figs from the oven, sprinkle with the toasted breadcrumbs and pistachios, and finish with a generous drizzle of glaze. Serve warm with crusty bread or crostini for scooping. Serves 4-6.
