San Marzano Homemade Ketchup

Chef Cento's deliciously creamy homemade ketchup recipe combines our Cento San Marzano Tomatoes and apple cider vinegar, to make a rich tasting dipping sauce for your French fries or hamburger this summer!

Using a blender, blend tomatoes until smooth. In a large pot, add tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, paste and spices. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Remove lid, lower heat and allow to simmer, occasionally stirring for about 20-25 minutes, until a thick consistency is reached. Refrigerate for 3 hours. Yields 1.5 cups of ketchup.

Spicy Ketchup<br>

For ketchup with a kick, add ½ tsp Cento Crushed Red Pepper Flakes.

Sweet Balsamic Ketchup<br>

For a sweet, tart tasting ketchup, substitute the apple cider vinegar for ¼ cup of Cento Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
