One Dough Ball. Endless Possibilities.

Great dough is the starting point for so much more than pizza. From airy focaccia and garlic knots to stromboli, flatbreads and rustic Italian bread, one simple dough can become countless homemade favorites.

More Than Just Pizza

Great dough brings warmth, flavor and tradition to the table. Its versatility makes it a staple for everything from quick weeknight meals to family gatherings and celebrations. Shape it into thin-crust pizza, focaccia, garlic knots, stromboli, calzones, flatbreads, sandwich rolls or rustic Italian loaves.

At Cento, we believe great recipes begin with quality ingredients and authentic Italian inspiration. As dough develops, it gains flavor, texture and structure, giving you a balance of crisp exterior and soft, chewy interior. Premium flour and a few simple ingredients make it easy to adapt the same base to traditional favorites and new creations.

Whether you bake in a home oven, pizza oven or cast iron pan, the possibilities begin with one dough ball.

How to Make Cento's Pizza Dough

1. Combine: Mix the flour and salt in a mixing bowl and make a well in the center. Pour the measured warm water into the well, then add sugar and active dry yeast to the water and gently mix within the well.

2. Knead: Gradually work the flour into the water until dough forms. Turn onto a floured surface and knead thoroughly until smooth. If very sticky, add a little more flour as needed.

3. Rise: Lightly oil a bowl with the measured olive oil and place the dough in the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and leave at room temperature for about 20 minutes, or until risen, as directed in Cento's recipe. Rise time can vary with temperature and yeast activity.

4. Divide and shape: Divide into the selected number of equal balls using the calculated dough-ball weight. Stretch each ball to the selected size and crust thickness. Add toppings and bake using your preferred pizza method until fully cooked.

Adapted from Cento's Pizza Dough Ball. The original recipe states one 16-inch pizza or two smaller 8-inch pizzas; the calculator uses pizza surface area to keep your selected crust thickness consistent.
