Ingredients
- 3 Chicken Breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup Cento Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 1 cup Anna TIPO 00 Flour
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese, sliced
- Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
- Cento Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Cento Marinara Pasta Sauce, extra for dipping
- Cento Blended Italian Style Oil 75% Canola Oil 25% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for frying
- Fresh Basil Leaves, for garnish
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Coat in flour then, dip each chicken bite into the beaten eggs, then coat them evenly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Fry until golden brown, flipping as necessary. Place the cooked chicken bites on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon a small amount of sauce onto each one, then a layer of cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Once the chicken bites are done, garnish with basil and serve them with toothpicks for easy dipping into marinara sauce. Serves 4.
