Old World Confections

Little Gina’s Pizzelles and Specialty Cakes mimic the old world recipe of years past, made in the time honored tradition of using only the finest natural ingredients. The pizzelle was originally made in the Abruzzo region of south-central Italy, the name coming from the Italian word pizze, which means “round and flat”. Pizelles are especially popular during the Christmas and Easter seasons, and are often found at Italian weddings alongside other traditional pastries, cookies, or cakes. Little Gina’s Panettone are delicious and versatile enjoyed as breakfast, a substitute for bread in stuffing recipes, or served with ice cream as a dessert.
